Welcome to the FUN3D Retropropulsion Data Portal

This dataset consists of the results from 6 FUN3D simulations run on Summit at Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility. The runs simulate retropropulsion - using rocket motors to decelerate a space vehicle as it enters a planetary atmosphere. These simulations in particular are in support of research and development of entry systems capable of delivering humans to the surface of Mars.

You can use this portal to download data from the FUN3D Retropropulsion Portal.
